Brief About The Project:
Mediterranean Arena, inspired by the Roman Arena which was used as a public space for events, in this project the Arena serves as a gathering place for all the mediterranean countries, to discuss the rising problems such as : (sea pollution (plastic waste), Illegal immigration,..), and increase awareness among people, also to protect the natural and cultural heritage as well as strengthening solidarity among Mediterranean states.
The challenge was to create a landmark that doesn't obstruct the view from the promenade and without ruining the nature of the site, so the building was built on the existing topography , and an extension for the promenade was built within the building.
