Brief About The Project:
The city of Aqaba witnessed drastic changes that led to diminishing public accessibility to the waterfront. This project seizes the opportunity of relocating the old port to reclaim part of the waterfront at pier #01, for re-providing public activities.
The proposal involves remapping the surface shape of the pier and fill it with different types of open spaces and public places.
Composed of five different elements, Fishery, Fish market, Food market, Aquarium and vast open spaces, the 50.000 m2 platform combines these elements through a concept that depends on tide and water-surface height.
