Brief About The Project:

The hegemony of the eye in Amman caused by the prints and screens that dominate the scene, especially in commercial areas, affected our consciousness of space. It created a dominant visual space, which present all the information by printed signs and digital screens.

The Friday Market is Amman's real voice, it represents an opposite state from other parts of Amman, the shouts of vendors take us to the essence of oral cultures; creating an audible space full of sound, and based only on oral communication between people.

This project aims to preserve and celebrate this oral culture.
