Brief About The Project:
Nowadays, the well-known city ‘Rashid’ located in Egypt is facing a huge problem as its people gave up their local cultural crafts and profession as a result of the lack of demand on these crafts which caused Rashid to lose its identity. This project aims to design an educational facility for the youth to learn about Rashid’s various crafts. Designing a heritage craft academy will help craftsmen, initially inherited with the talent, to educate eager youth with Rashid’s four local crafts. Added to that, the academy should be welcoming for the young adults to make them belong to the place and Rashid which will prevent them from immigrating.
