Brief About The Project:
The Harvest is a community-oriented project, aimed at providing an alternative solution to conventional farming, as conventional farming (not to be confused with traditional farming) comes with many problems. First, it is not sustainable, as it creates considerable amounts of CO2 emissions. Second, it causes pollution & the degradation of soil and water. As an alternative solution, two types of farming are introduced in the project as more sustainable options, which are: organic farming & vertical farming. The project is set in the middle of one of the most condensed urban areas in Amman, while seeking environmental, economic, & social sustainability through its functions and design.
