Brief About The Project:
The city of Benghazi has witnessed in the civil war in 2014 a massive destruction in the area of the downtown specially the Cornishe Elevation that holds Historical buildings from different eras of time and currently abandoned so the main goal of this project is to revive this abandoned area and to document these layers that are currently fading. To celebrate the history and heritage of Benghazi and to raise awareness to the importance of conserving the urban layers that make the city what it is today. The Cathedral becomes a landmark that embodies all that is necessary in this pursuit to conserve Benghazi’s urban heritage. As a landmark that has witnessed many of these layers and events.
